The Global Commons Project of the California Center for Environmental Law and Policy at Boalt Hall Law School, the Center for Environmental Public Policy at the Goldman School of Public Policy, the Berkeley Institute of the Environment, and the American Society for International Law, thank all who contributed to the success of their international conference, held at UC Berkeley on February 22-23, 2007, on the design and implementation of cap and trade programs for greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions as a tool for climate change policy at the state, regional, national and international levels.
The conference brought together leading practitioners and academic experts from around the world on the legal, economic, and technology issues associated with the development of policies for controlling greenhouse gas emissions and dealing with climate change. The conference achieved its goal: to exchange information, identify key issues, and educate the business, finance, legal and policy communities on where climate change policy is headed both nationally and internationally.
